The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula K. Le Guin
"Finally at the end... This one was a real slog for me.

First off - there isn't much actual plot. The book is more about characters and society, than things actually happening.
I liked the idea of people being neither male nor female, but having the pot" Read more of this review »
Deb and 1 other person liked Belinda's review of The Left Hand of Darkness:
The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula K. Le Guin
"I believe most people would come to The Left Hand of Darkness because it's sci-fi/fantasy, which often means it's escapist and a little mind bending, but Le Guin's book dives deep into far more than this.

The main characters are Envoy Ai, who is huma" Read more of this review »

The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula K. Le Guin
"I'll make my report as if I were telling a story, for I was taught as a child on my homeworld that Truth is a matter of the imagination

You're very welcome:) It's great that you seem to enjoy a lot of historical fiction, as I do. Looking forward to chatting with you about books:)"

I love historical fiction. I was just remarking the other day that almost every book on my shelves is historical fiction or involves a different culture that I'm curious about. This is what I love in books, exploration, learning.

No, not this year. I didnt want to obligate myself and feel pressed. I'm reading and writing this year. Last year was only reading.

Rashaan Hey Debbie, I saw you did the reading challenge last year and aced it! Are you going to do it this year?
