Mike Evans needs to learn the difference between Marines and sailors. Marines do not become petty officers and shipboard marines do not work as sailors in any capacity, do not have a thing to do with engine parts and do not switch from being marine nco's becoming naval petty officers. This us the most poorly researched novel I've ever tried to read.
