James was inspired to write Knightstar through his love of superheroes and young adult novels.

He loves writing, binge-watching a good TV series, and eating chocolate. He hates heights, spiders, and posing for the artistic author photographs (although he was pinned down to have a photograph taken). He currently lives in Leicester with his wife and cat.
