The story take place in a Cedarhurst,Ramona's new school a two-story red-brick building very much like her old school in the earley afternoon.I can hear all the little first and second graders dashing around the playground.Smelling fresh because there was lots of grassy field and trees. I feel proud of this setting because 3rd grade is the biggest grade in school so nobody can tease us and 1st grade and 2nd grade will not give us something to do for example if we were playing in the playground and I am the 3rd grade and 2nd grade accidently kick the ball away and he will not say I have to go get it maybe he will ask 1st grade to get the ball. Ramona behaved very mad because 3rd grade boys will not give Ramona an eraser even though it's hers. They were playing catch with the eraser and never give her back. But she didn't shout or yell because she wanted to go to new school happily not spoiling her first they of school and make it all bad day. And she feels frustrated because everything is depending on Ramona and she thinks life as third grader is tough for example she needs to be nice to Willa Jean but she thinks its awfully hard because everyday after school she had to go to her friend Howie Kemp's house, Where her parents paid Howie's grandmother to look after her until one of them could come for her. Both of Howie's parents, too, went off to work each day. She liked Howie, but after spending most of the summer, except for swimming lessons in the park, at the Kemp's house, she was tired of having play with four year old Willa Jean. She was also tired of apple juice and graham crackers for a snack every single day. And when Willa Jean wore her flippers when she ran under the sprinkler, pretending she was the mermaid on the tuna fish can, and then left big footprints on the kitchen floor. Then Mrs. Kemp said that Ramona should have stopped ger because Willa Jean didn't know any better. And finally Ramona feels funny because Ramona walked among the desks then she discovered her new sandals squeaked. Squeak, creak, squeak. Ramona giggled, and so did the rest of the class. Squeak, creak, squeak. When Ramona tried to get back to class she stopped midsqueak when she saw her new teacher watching her with little smile. "We all know you have musical shoes," said Mrs. Whaley. Ofcourse class laughed. By walking with stiff legs and not bending her feet, Ramona reached her seat without squeaking at all. She did not know what to think. At first she thought Mrs. Whaley's remark was a reprimand, but then maybe her teacher was just trying to be funny.
