Born and raised in Alaska, I've spent thirty years working as a librarian. While I love matching people to their new favorite reads, I resisted the lure to write my own books until participating in National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) in 2015. There was no turning back after that.

I write contemporary romance as Karen Kiely, and paranormal romance as K. Kiely. While I cut my fiction-writing teeth on contemporary romance, my critique group issued a challenge in 2021 that resulted in my first published book, Wish On a Winter Moon. What can I say?
