Charles W. Harvey is an award-winning novelist, playwright, and poet whose work spans literary fiction, LGBTQ+ fiction, dark humor, mystery, romance, and poetry.

A native Houstonian, Harvey received the PEN/Discovery Award in 1987 for his short story "Cheeseburger," later published in the Ontario Review. He was also awarded the Cultural Arts Council of Houston Grant for Writers and Artists and was a finalist for the McDonald's Literary Achievement Award.

The author of dozens of books, Harvey's work includes The Road to Astroworld, When Dogs Bark, Antoine's Double Trouble, Maura and Her Two Husbands, Betty's House, Catnip Gray Cat Detective, and numerous collections of fiction and poetry.
