Barbara Duffey is a 2015 NEA Literature Fellow in poetry. She is the author of the poetry collections I Might Be Mistaken (Word Poetry, 2015) and Simple Machines (The Word Works, 2016), which won the 2015 Washington Prize, and the chapbooks "The Circus of Forgetting" (dancing girl press, 2013) and "The Verge of Thirst" (South Dakota State Poetry Society, 2013). An associate professor of English at Dakota Wesleyan University, her poetry has been published in Prairie Schooner, Indiana Review, Best New Poets 2009, and elsewhere, and her nonfiction has appeared in CutBank, The Collagist, and the anthology Oh, Baby! from Creative Nonfiction.
