Retirement? What does this mean? To me it was a time when I started to write for children for the first time in my life. In fact it was children in my local primary school, whom I visited one hour per week as a volunteer-visitor, who told me the type of poetry they loved and encouraged me to write it for them week by week. It is an excellent way to get immediate feedback on your work and a good way of learning from them what subjects they want YOU to write about. They often brought me their subjects.

In my second year at this school, they asked me to make an internet website and post my work there for them to read. Strange isn't it? They didn't ask me to get my work published in books but wanted to read my poems online. Well, this is how my ...more

This Terrible Year

What has everyone else done whilst locked in at home?

I am so glad that I have the internet and also am a fast touch-typist (and I was a teacher of secretarial work for many years). My five old websites have gone because adobe flash has gone, but I have worked day after day, without even having the weekend away from work, to make a new website, and I am well on the way.
