If you are a Murkami fan this is of course a must read. It's not a good way to introduce yourself to Murakmi though. He explores the themes of trauma and duality of spirit as he does in most of his novels but the storyline ends abruptly.

Post WWII Japanese kids who are obsessed with American and British music. A fun read that is not as complex as some of his longer novels (Kafka on the Shore or Wind Up Bird Chronicles).
