The Titans Curse by Rick Riordan is about a fourteen year old boy who currently meets a new friend named Thaila, the daughter of Zeus. Percy Grover Thaila and Annebeth go on an adventure to save other half bloods, and take them to Half Blood Hill (camp). On the way they have to fight a very evil monster. Annebeth dies or does she? They meet up with a hunter and her group. The lead hunter is named Atermis goddess of the hunt, and her best alley Zoe. Atermis gets captured and yet again Percy and his friends are on al life or death adventure.

My favorite character in this book is Zoe. Zoe is my favorite character because she is very smart yet aggressive. She doesn’t like boys for some reason but thats okay. She is immortal. She is a person you can reley on and not feel worried. She has enough courage to try and kill her dad who is ten times stronger than her. I won’t say what happens. It made me cry.

The climax of the story is when someone very important in the story dies. The person dies by trying to defeat a giant evil junk monster while protecting her friends. She went inside the giant Junk Monster trying to find the power down switch so Percy can continue his journey. The giant Junk Monster was trying to kill everybody in sight and that was Percy, Grover, Zoe, Bianca, and Thaila. Someone had took a statue from the junk of the Gods and your not suppose to take anything that belongs to the Gods or else.

I think the author is trying to tell us readers that sometimes the unexpected happens. I also think the author is trying to say every book doesn’t always have a happy ending, it could have a sad ending. I’m not saying the ending of this book is sad. I say this because one of the most touching characters die. I think he is a great author.

I would recommend this book to any body who has read the fist 2 books and who has liked them. I would also recommend this book for people who likes action, adventure ,and drama.
