RIGHT??) this book evoked a sea-change in the consciousness of the American public. Lots of things that simply didn't feel right (the death of birds, disappearing fish, mysterious illnesses of humans) were finally brought together and given a name in this book. If you haven't read this yet, do yourself, do your soul, a favor, and pick it up!...more

It's quite incredible, actually, and I'm shocked, and surprised, that Steiner was never covered in the extensive Philosophy courses I took in college. Easier to read and understand than Kant, Hegel, or any other philosopher of his day, Steiner had some great ideas, quite holisitic, and ground-breaking for his time, as well as ours.
