Nicky P Gardiner is the Author of the 'Deadly Shades' series following his ghostly characters and their ongoing conflicts with each other in the afterlife. Book 1 'The Showman And The Shade' received glowing reviews from local newspapers where Nicky Resides in Essex.

Book 2 'Shades Of Vengeance' is newly released and follows on directly from the tale within 'The Showman And The Shade' although both are written as stand alone stories with a satisfying conclusion.

Hi Roy,
I have always wanted to write, I think maybe I have an over-active imagination. When I think of childhood memories, my brother can recall exactly where we were and what we were doing, whereas I remember running about pretending I was killing monsters or some such - the actual facts elude me!
I have always written, but it was only following recuperating from a bad illness that I was given the time (albeit in the worst possible way) to actually write something from beginning to end.
I spend a lot of my time playing my story (the one I am currently writing) over in my head. Reworking it, thinking of individuals' different motives, scrapping whole scenes and reworking them again before even sitting down to write.
Then I pull up the chair, get the laptop, sit facing out of my apartment (so I have a view, of sorts) with a drink and some nibbles by my side so that I can commit to writing the scene.
That's the only way I psyche myself up. Once I start writing, I find it hard to stop. But there are times where it's hard to stay motivated to write as I spend a lot of time procrastinating (or 'thinking things through'!)...
Thank you for your question and hope you are enjoying the book so far!
Book 2 is nearly ready for release ('Shades of Vengeance') - just going through final edits and cover design.(less)

But for me especially during Empire Strikes back there was a park there, which it turns out is probably because the actors who played them were involved. Now I know they originated in film, but I like many read the novels surrounding the movies, including what is now no longer canon. At least in that version they stayed together. :-) (less)
