After the Halloween-themed story fest of the last month, I'm in the mood for something a little different. This has been on my TBR for a year now, and I would love to knock it down:
As an alternative Tim Lebbon title, I'll suggest The Silence, which is still $1.99 for Kindle at the moment, a real steal considering the number of authors I respect who have singled this out as one of the best books of the year.
We read
in August of 2014, but I guess we could read it again, if enough people are on board for it.
Read
a few months ago, really liked it. Although (tiny spoiler ahead), for those who read this already - can you explain how in the beginning, when the woman and her children and preparing to leave the house, how does she know it's foggy to assist in her cover when shes blindfolded? That always bugged me...
Anyway, I'm open to suggestions. You guys always post some interesting books I never knew existed. This one has been floating around on my to-read list for a while...

I'll second The Cipher. Been wanting to read it.
WendyB wrote: "I'll toss Coldbrook into the mix for consideration."BTW, I should have mentioned, Coldbrook is awesome! I havn't read anything by Tim Lebbon that I haven't liked.
Coldbrook is one I've had my eye on, too.
Another that looks good is Evangeline, by e.a. gottschalk

(Still can't get that picture to show--but at least I got the link this time! :) ).

I've got LAST DAYS, COLDBROOK, and THE SILENCE on my Kindle, so I'm all for those! THE RATS and THE RUINS have been sitting in my wishlist for a while, too.
Would everyone think it was a sick move if I nominated my own book LOVE IS RED? It's horror and I would truly be beyond honored and overjoyed if the HA members would read it. Of course I would also be completely terrified but I think it would be worth it.
Nominating your own book is frowned upon, Sophie.Sheldon, I'm not enjoying the sugar tits moniker. Please refrain.
I'm obsessed with horror books, and with my latest book I wanted to make people scared to walk around their own house at night. I think it's been pretty successful in doing that going off what a few people have said, but I'll let you guys be the judge. So I'd like to nominate Sickness Behind Young Eyes
.
That's it! Please do NOT nominate your own books. You may promote them to your heart's content in the promotional areas of HA. Any further postings like this will be deleted.
Craziness!! It's been handled, though. The Wanderer has been forced to wander off. Please, continue on with the suggestions. We've got some good ones, so far. :)
Ok just to get back on track after all that I'll make another suggestion: The Doll Collection: Seventeen Brand-New Tales of Dolls
I'd like to nominate a couple of new werewolf tales from two authors that we haven't read yet and really should.
Wolf Land
by Jonathan Janz
And
Blood And Rain
by Glenn Rolfe

I've honestly been having a hard tine reading horror i find it boring and unthrilling does anyone have any suggestions that would seriously make me rethink all I know??

Oh Man, I hope it's not a full moon tonight as I'm on night shift ugh. Anyway, I would like to Nominate these two if I may.Ghost Story
And
A Head Full of Ghosts

I didn't realise nominating your own books was frowned upon, but that's my fault for not getting to know the rules. To make up for it I'll nominate a book I think most horror fans will enjoy.A Head Full of Ghosts

That's just fine, Jack. Thank you for being gracious about it. Best of luck with your book, and feel free to post about it in the promotional area. :)
I would like to nominate
by Nicky P Gardiner. It is a very cool little horror story with a twist.
It is only 99p at the moment on Amazon as well so good value.

Really, huh? Gaiman meets Hill? Plus, my name is on the cover? (I usually just go by Char.) I might have to read that one whether it gets chosen or not.
Also, book 2
Shades of Vengeance by Nicky P Gardiner is now out - I have just started reading it and I would like to nominate this one as well. It really is a series I would highly recommend.
Can I recommend The Showman And The Shade. It is a really good book if you love the paranormal. Here it is on Amazon: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/15...
