Gina is on page 210 of 394 of A Confederacy of Dunces: "You may send a map of my new route to the mental ward at Charity Hospital."

During my brief tenure in the Crescent City, I worked a temporary job at Charity Hospital -- reviewing patient files for Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement eligibility -- before I was unceremoniously sacked by the management consulting duds at Toilet & Douche.

“You can never have too many books or too many hugs.”
Gina House

“I am beginning to learn that it is the sweet, simple things of life which are the real ones after all.”
Laura Ingalls Wilder

“You can never have too many books or too many hugs.”
Gina House

“Perhaps, after all, our best thoughts come when we are alone. It is good to listen, not to voices but to the wind blowing, to the brook running cool over polished stones, to bees drowsy with the weight of pollen. If we attend to the music of the earth, we reach serenity. And then, in some unexplained way, we share it with others.”
Gladys Bagg Taber

“Old houses, I thought, do not belong to people ever, not really, people belong to them.”
Gladys Taber

“Fill your paper with the breathings of your heart.”
