I probably don't sleep as much as I should. :)

I try to set aside about 30 minutes a day for reading. Because we don't have cable, our TV isn't on a lot (except when we binge watch something on Netflix), so that helps as well.(less)

A word for the one whose loved one is deconstructing

You are not alone.

I get it—you don’t like talking about a loved one deconstructing because, well, all kinds of reasons. Perhaps you’re not entirely sure what the word means. Maybe you’re trying to respect this person’s privacy. (A noble thing, to be sure.) Maybe—more likely—it’s because it hurts.

“The hard truth is that if we fail to take time to think deeply about the unsearchable, wonderful, endless depths of the Word of God-even the difficult passages-it's like turning off a tap or closing a door. We cut ourselves off from unique opportunities, robbing ourselves of rich possibilities including a deeper love for God, a more profound transformation of our hearts and minds, a more thorough shaping of our character, and a richer filling of our spirits.”
Aaron Armstrong

“The Bible is the foundation of our life as Christians. Get a grip on it now. Don't let anything else take away from its priority in your life. Do this, and it will go well for you.”
Aaron Armstrong, I'm a Christian―Now What?: A Guide to Your New Life With Christ

“Contending must be understood and exercised as an act of mercy toward those who doubt and those who have been deceied, regardless of whether they claim faith in Christ.”
Aaron Armstrong, Contend: Defending the Faith in a Fallen World
