"The Indecipherables" is an uncanny novel with plot twists that sneak up on you and are satisfying. Although I would not say it comes close to being legitimately Lynchian, there are many Lynchian and Hitchcock-esque references that are a lot of fun. ...more

After reading "The Lost Apothecary" and enjoying it, I grabbed "The Amalfi Curse" from Kindle Unlimited and read it in one day. I really like the way that Penner writes - it's easy escapism, but she does a good job integrating interesting historical ...more
