Lorna lives in Italy and teaches Literature to Middle School students in an international school. She loves her rescue cat, as well as thunderstorms, jumping into ice-cold lakes, snowflakes, her tiny balcony garden and a good GnT. She will read almost anything and her favourite authors are varied: Jess Kidd, Yrsa Sigurdardottir, Tom Robbins, PG Wodehouse, Jeffrey Eugenides, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, John Fowles, Virginia Woolf, Martin Amis, Muriel Barbery, Tolkien, Enid Blyton. She would love to exchange a free copy of her ebook FINDING DAYLIGHT for an honest review. Also by the author: read THE FOREST https://www.litro.co.uk/2018/06/the-f...

More of Lorna's books…
Muriel Barbery
“I have finally concluded, maybe that's what life is about: there's a lot of despair, but also the odd moment of beauty, where time is no longer the same. It's as if those strains of music created a sort of interlude in time, something suspended, an elsewhere that had come to us, an always within never. Yes, that's it, an always within never.”
Muriel Barbery, The Elegance of the Hedgehog

Anatole France
“Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened.”
Anatole France

John Fowles
“To write poetry and to commit suicide, apparently so contradictory, had really been the same, attempts at escape.”
John Fowles, The Magus

Alfred Tennyson
“If I had a flower for every time I thought of you...I could walk through my garden forever.”
Alfred Tennyson

Gerald Durrell
“Each day had a tranquility a timelessness about it so that you wished it would never end. But then the dark skin of the night would peel off and there would be a fresh day waiting for us glossy and colorful as a child's transfer and with the same tinge of unreality.”
Gerald Durrell, My Family and Other Animals
