Heather Jopling is an author, playwright, actor, producer, director and blogger who lives in a beautiful small town in Ontario, Canada. She met her wonderful husband while performing Romeo and Juliet in red nose clown. He was the tech director; she was doing the chicken dance. She is the proud mother of one incredible daughter, two cats and, on occasion, a senior dog. She and her husband were fortunate enough to help two other families create children. Making people laugh makes her very happy, indeed.

DON’T PANIC, in large friendly letters

“Uh… David?” My tone is coated in calm. “Would you please come help me for a sec?”

“Sure thing!” I picture David bounding up from the living room chair where he has been programming. “What’s up?”

“I, uh… sewed through my finger. With the sewing machine.”

“You what?!?” David sprints into the room.

I’m over the sink letting the blood pool there, instead of on the floor.
