Mark Nicholson was born and raised in New Castle, Indiana. He graduated from Chrysler High School (now called New Castle High School) in New Castle, class of ‘87. Within hours of graduation, he left for the United States Army.

He graduated from Grace College in 2002 and Indiana University McKinney School of Law in 2008. His classmates elected him as their class president and graduation speaker.

He worked as a law clerk for the ACLU-Indiana, a Marion County Bailiff, and a law clerk for the Indiana State Public Defender Office before serving as a Deputy State Public Defender there.

In 2011, the Marion County Public Defender Agency hired him. He started out in misdemeanor court and eventually became an assistant supervisor. Mark helped train and ...more
