Dane has worked professionally as an investigator for over 33 years. He has also served as a pastor and missionary. Currently, he is involved in jail/prison ministry.

Dane began writing in his youth. As an avid backpacker, he began to combine his love for writing with his love for the outdoors by publishing online journals at his web site. He also has published short, theological papers in responses to questions that were posed to him by readers.
