Sarah Hannah Gómez is a Tucson-based writer, scholar, editor, and critic.

She is a Senior Editor at Kevin Anderson & Associates, the premier ghostwriting and editorial services firm. In 2024 she completed her PhD in Language, Reading, and Culture with a minor in Social, Cultural, and Critical Theory at the University of Arizona. She holds MS and MA degrees from Simmons University. When not doing something related to books, she is a fitness and Pilates maven. Well, I guess scratch everything I said in my last post, because I’ve been running for the last two months. A friend and I went for a walk and remarked as someone ran by us, “I would never.” My friend’s point: “if I need to go there fast, I can drive.” Mine? I read McCloud's book for a visual rhetoric and graphic novels class in first grad school, and I did think it was a fun idea to adapt it for young readers. I do think it took a little too long to get meta on us, which made it a bit jarring. ...more
