David DeRuvo writes quiet, character-driven stories about people learning how to move forward—often through grief, connection, and the small, ordinary moments that matter more than they seem.

His work leans into slow-burn relationships, emotional restraint, and grounded settings, occasionally blending in elements of fantasy, sci-fi, or cross-cultural life. He is the author of Hero City: Renewal and is currently working on several new projects.

He lives in Georgia with his wife, two daughters, and their pets. Outside of writing, he spends his time gaming, listening to music, and chasing whatever story idea won’t leave him alone.
