JENNY BRAVO spent her childhood in Disney princess nightgowns and climbing trees barefooted. These days, she usually wears shoes. As a part-time writer, she drinks too much coffee and writes feverishly in the fringe hours. Otherwise, she blogs at jennybravobooks.com and plays on Twitter. While she calls New Orleans home, she also considers herself a resident of Narnia, Hogwarts and Neverland.

Thank you so much for reading and for your great review. It was difficult to write the ugly parts of the relationship. Wendy and Simon felt like friends to me, and I had to feel their pain along with them. I'm still not over it, honestly. I can only reread the good, happy parts! (less)

I first got the idea in high school. I imagined an ex-couple in college who had been high school sweethearts. I revisited the idea last year, and it developed into something real. It's changed drastically for the better. As far as other novels, I wrote a first draft of a middle grade fantasy prior to this. Maybe I'll get back to that someday, too. Thanks for your question!(less)

“She looked at him like he personally kept the roof from caving.”
Jenny Bravo, These Are the Moments

“The kind of friends that didn’t need invitations to hang out. The kind of friends that ate leftovers from each other’s fridges without asking.”
Jenny Bravo, Those Were the Days

“Love is a decision.

It's not an emotion that we see on movie screens or read about in books. It isn't the dramatic crescendo that leads to happily ever after.

Love is hard work.

It's the decision you make, knowing your differences, knowing your flaws, but choosing anyway, because you can't imagine life without that person.”
