Books, always books. Reading led to a career as a librarian and also to a lifelong writing habit. Buff's first published book was for the library profession, but Deep Water and Cold Storage are for everyone who loves mysteries. The Last Page is a quick read, but a great story.

After books comes food (she's a seriously good cook), cats (three), friends, laughing, and walking.

Many years living around the U.S. and abroad addicted Buff to travel. She is a passionate football and basketball fan of her first alma mater, Michigan State University (her twin sons are also Spartans), and her second, UCBerkeley.

She lives on the border of Olympic National Park, not far from the setting for Deep Water. ...more
