edit data

E.I. spent his youth in the 70s and 80s in the barely habitable cold of the Upper Midwest. He went West. Since then, he’s been arrested in a Sahara border town, dined with a Turkish drug lord, used magic to levitate away from attacking snakes, survived several long death marches, been robbed by monkeys, and skated down glaciers in Europe. He’s even been to Boise.

He may also be a bit of an exaggerator.

He continues to accumulate old sci-fi paperbacks, much to the chagrin of his over-small bookshelves. He has dreamed his entire life of seeing old copies of his own books on people’s crowded bookshelves. His family has at last convinced him to publish some of the words he’s put down in the long decades.

I'm probably the only person left on the planet who hasn't read this book until recently. Not being a gamer I have not really understood the appeal of the Lit RPG genre, but this was fun. I won't pretend I was able to mentally gather up all the point ...more
