The Three Apples of Discord is a collection of essays that explores the fractures of human identity and consciousness through the symbol of the apple, understood as the fruit of knowledge and the origin of discord between the human and the divine. The work is structured into three core analyses: Manifesto of Persephone, on the conflict between the sexes and the social structures shaping femininity; Narcissus, My Love,on desire as the foundation of the Self and the tension between the individual and universal consciousness; and Oedipus Amor Fati,on trauma and the non-linear nature of time, where cause and effect are reversed.

Dear Jasmine,
thank you for reading my essay. I am truly happy and grateful for it.
I understand your reservations regarding Chapter 7. It may seem detached from the rest of the essay and somewhat ambiguous, but this is in fact intentional.
The desire for nothingness is the origin of everything—of all things, of the universe, and of every living being that is part of the cosmos. The cosmos itself breathes, is conscious of itself, and experiences itself through the fragmentation of what we call life, death, religion, science, and so on… yet in reality, it is ALL ONE.
Narcissus: we are the microscopic part of the universe that is coming to know itself. It is an endless process of gnosis.
Chapters 1 and 7 are deeply interconnected; one is the core of the other.
Everything dies and lives here, between being and non-being.
Between desiring oneself and desiring nothingness.
Duality is the key.(less)

“The entire tension of life is oriented toward thisdesire—until human beings finally discover themselves. And discover that they are not truly separate beings, butpart of the One and the All: an organism interconnectedwith other organisms. A single heartbeat that is theuniverse itself. The entire path of each one of us is an eternal returntoward what we are—not what we think we are.For everything moves in circles, within an endlessredundancy.”
M. Alexandra Nesci, Narcissus, my love

“Take from a person the ability to speak in their own defense, and you erase them.
They cease to exist.
To strip someone of voice, will, pride;
to erase every trace that might one day testify —
they lived on this earth —
is the most atrocious crime one living being can inflict on another.”
M. Alexandra Nesci, Manifesto of Persephone

“Narcissus does not die because he loves his image.
He dies because he cannot possess it.”

“You can always spot a woman in love, that temporary type of lucid beauty… Her eyes are focused and she is gazing inwards… lips curved in the subtlest of smiles… She
radiates the world’s unknown, and the aura that shields her makes you move away when you pass her by… You feel that
she cannot be accidentally touched.”
