Michael Phillips Mann has been a cab driver, a shrimp fisherman, a swim coach, a stone carver, a college instructor, a concierge—and through it all—a writer. He has a B.A. in Creative Writing, an M.A. in Literature, and a Graduate Certificate in Women’s Studies, which he taught for several years.
