Liudmila Brus I would travel to Alagaesia and be a wandering storyteller. Someone should replace Brom after his heroic end.

Exposition is my favorite field for experiment.

I love itand use it in every possible shape. Rather than devoting an entire page to a describe a character’s personality, I prefer letting readers discover them through what other people say, with those accounts contradicting one another.

Of course, good old Treasure Island! There, exposition flows through the pirates' own stories and sounds completely natural.

That said, I see nothing wrong with di Read more of this blog post »

"This book is the kind of science fiction novel that asks for your full attention, but rewards you with a world that feels vast, dangerous, and strangely alive. Set in post-Blackout Antarctica, the story immediately pulled me into a frozen future wher" Read more of this review »
The Orphaned Earth by Liudmila Brus
"This is a very well-written sci-fi piece about the world after a solar flare knocks out all digital records and history, sending humanity backwards. I enjoyed the family aspect and the authenticity of the relationships. Highly recommend!"

Sanusi Olamilekan Isreal
“We hear about the two out of ten who succeed, but we rarely delve into the stories of the eight who
didn’t. We don’t examine what went wrong during their transitions or why they couldn’t overcome the struggles. Recognizing these untold stories to mourn their loss and learn from their failures ensures that others don’t repeat the same mistakes.”
― S. Olamilekan Isreal

Emily St. John Mandel
“No more Internet. No more social media, no more scrolling through litanies of dreams and nervous hopes and photographs of lunches, cries for help and expressions of contentment and relationship-status updates with heart icons whole or broken, plans to meet up later, pleas, complaints, desires, pictures of babies dressed as bears or peppers for Halloween. No more reading and commenting on the lives of others, and in so doing, feeling slightly less alone in the room. No more avatars.”
― Emily St. John Mandel, Station Eleven
