This book was recommended to me by Goodreads and I feel like it was a good fit. I really enjoyed the length of the book for a leisure read and felt it appropriately developed the characters and world. I became attached to several characters and after reading books where primary characters face authors with no qualms about breaking your heart, it was a pleasant palate cleanser with all the feel good fuzzies shining through to the end. But don’t worry, the challenges are unique and it doesn’t make the story boring.
