Hi! I am a poet/ memoirist/ teacher/ editor. Former K12 librarian and teacher trainer. Looking forward to a Hedgebrook retreat in Spring 2019 to continue work on my memoir exploring family separation and mixed-race identify. Proposal in the works. Words for House Story comes out in June

Words for House Story, my first full-length collection of poems, will be released in June by WordTech Editions. I wrote the title poem "Words for House Story" after reading Li-Young Lee, whose Book of My Nights I adore. The poem is about language coming out of the cracks, and the evolutions of love--cracking apart, and away, and open again. You can see a preview here.
