I did not mind until I noticed.
To describe Kendi’s book as about “covert racism” is to deny the blatant visibility of racism is all of its forms in our society. The “under the tip of the ice-berg” idea excuses people from doing anti-racist work by positioning anti-racist work as out of reach. To notice is to know. To know is to act. To act, according to Kendi, is to change policy.
