He writes fiction from a small farm downhill from the Appalachian Trail, a place rich in wildlife and Civil War history, secluded in Blair Witch territory. Current interests include genealogy, historical fiction, and folk horror.

I read the hardcover edition of Emily Wilson's translation, ISBN 978-0393089059. I had read Homer in other translations and (many years ago) in Greek. But I'm not by any stretch a proficient classics scholar, so I cannot vouch for the accuracy of EW's ...more
