Hey, I'm Philippa Cameron, the author of three Young Adult books. I love reading Young Adult novels. And books from other genres too. Any of them. All of them. Good thing, then, that I'm also a librarian...

I'm the author of three YA contemporary novels, The Day We Are Born, Every Move I Have Made, and However Dark The Night.

In my previous life I was a university lecturer, corrupting young minds in an English and Media Studies Department, as well as a journalist, editor and feature writer. I occasionally write humorous newspaper columns. At least, I think they're funny. So does my brother's mother-in-law.

When I first had the idea for the plot for Every Move I Have Made, I knew that parts of it were going to be quite dark. Immediately I saw a large, suffocating hole filled with dark water, but it wasn't so much the water that is menacing, but whatever is closing it in and causing it to be dark. That was my quarry! And as I wrote, the quarry became more and more integral to the story, so it worked brilliantly.(less)
