Plunged into a musical family at birth, Rachel Harlin was exposed to the excitement and magic of musical theater throughout her childhood. Starry-eyed, she attended college musical rehearsals with her pianist mother – imagining herself as the heroine in the spotlight – becoming a hopeless romantic from the start. Though Rachel’s own natural musical gifts motivated her through college and she now holds a vocal performance degree in operatic singing, she has loved writing sweet romance novels for over ten years. Creative writing has served as a beautiful escape from the emotional rigors of raising her family.

Rachel currently lives in Santa Rosa, California with her handsome husband – the love of her life – where she enjoys getting her creativ

Jeanne Rachel,

There will be a discussion of The Count of Monte Cristo in the Readers' Review group, beginning in a few days. I hope you might join us. You probably know more about the story than most of us.

I'm reading the unabridged (translated) version for the first time. I read the short version en francais in a high school class.

Jeannie Faulkner Barber Hi Rachel and thanks for the add. We just came back from Rock Spring, WY where our youngest son and family live. Love it there. If you have time, I'd love for you to visit my web site, jeanniebarber.com. I'm a novice writer so feel free to make any kind of suggestions, ideas or thoughts to correct it. I’m co-authoring a novel with Patty Wiseman, another friend on Goodreads. We’ve known each other for over 30 years. While you're there, please sign the guestbook, too! There’s also a link to our book you can click on…clairkelley@synthasite.com. This site is brand new and in the editing stage as is our story. Please visit it as well. We’re both very green, but we’ve met so many people on this site willing to reach out and offer advice or a guiding hand.
Blessings,
Jeannie

Shaumbra Thanks for the invite! It was a wonderful suprise to see you on here! I didn't know you wrote! Have you published anything yet? If not, I really look forward when you do! And if so, I really would love to read it!
Thanks again,
Shaumbra

Liz Hi, Rachel,

Thanks for the invitation to add me as a friend! I think you'll enjoy Goodreads.

I notice you've read lots of Marcia Lynn McClure. I knew her 'when'! What a bundle of energy she is to have written that many books.

I look forward to seeing your name on the front of a book as well. Don't worry, I am testimony to the fact that there are years and years to write after the kids are out of the house. Publication is just as sweet--perhaps sweeter--when it comes with mature years.

Thanks again for the invitation!

Liz Adair
