But indie publishers now publish the majority of books around the world and sell more books than all the traditional publishers combined. Why are indie publishers and authors reluctant to be on Goodreads? There is a prevalent culture on Goodreads where a majority of authors feel hostility from gangs of readers utilizing Goodreads to bash indie authors. Unfortunately many authors avoid being on Goodreads and discourage their readers from going onto Goodreads at all costs.”
