Andrew writes books that encompass travel, biography and history. He is fascinated with how authors endeavour to evoke a sense of place in their writing. He is the co-author of two literary guides for travellers in the I B Tauris series, in addition to a biography of John William Polidori, Byron’s ill-fated doctor, and a history of Palermo’s legendary Hotel delle Palme. His passions are Sicily and Spain, not to mention the Romantic poets. He is also a translator of Spanish and Italian, translating Borges in Sicily (published by Haus) and Agony (Italica Press). He spends his time between the UK and the north coast of Sicily.
