He experiences the loss of his father at a very young age. When I read this part of the story I felt bad for Seth, just knowing what it must have felt like to lose his father at such a young age. Life is filled with many bad things and one of them includes death. The loss of his father stuck with Seth for a very long time. this is like when you have a sad thought and you can’t get it out of your head, well that's what Seth feels and he has to live with it for the rest of his life.

This Book relates to some of the Matt christopher’s baseball stories or at least a few that I have read. These are about kids who have the same dreams that Seth does once he gets introduced to baseball. these kids go on a ride through baseball and how hard you have to work to experience something there team didn’t think they could do.

Baseball wasn’t only Seth’s dream but when he meets Jimmy that all changed. It became more than a sport for the both of them, because the journey they end up going on is more than they imagine. Jimmy is the guy who is crazy about baseball, which means he knows almost everything about baseball. Jimmy along with Seth go through many ups and downs throughout their lives. But, in the end all that takes a devastating toll but teaches a good lesson.

This book has many ups and downs, but I thought it was a great book. This book taught me a lot about what some kids go through in everyday life. this boy goes through a few deaths in his life and takes them very hard. Just like how the Sheboygan falls community just lost a young boy that went to our school. The whole community was devastated and it can so fast and hopefully everyone gets over it, but it won’t be easy.

This book taught me that you should have dreams and don’t let anything, not even a death get in the way. Those people are up there watching over us and encouraging us to follow our dreams. ...more "
