~~A long time ago my father handed me "Slan" by A. E. van Vogt. I finished that book, asked for more, and he opened the door to his library of science fiction. It was a small room with a big collection of paperbacks carefully arranged on shelves he had built himself. I read them all, from Isaac Asimov to H.G. Wells, and have wanted to explore the galaxy ever since. Sadly, I had to settle for writing about it.
~~The science fiction stories I write assume that we will one day colonize other planets in this solar system and beyond. They also assume we will meet other forms of life and enter into trade agreements with them.
~~The hero of my first book is Pharaoh Farrow and he is human. He would rather talk than fight, but if forced to fight he wi

However, a day or two after my mother was born, her birth mother got up from her bed, walked out of the hospital, and disappeared. My mother was then adopted by a couple I would know as my grandparents. Many, many years later, my niece pursued the case of the young woman who walked out of the hospital, and I think she has answered most of the questions we had about our long lost relative. I would like my niece to write a book about it, especially about what she had to do to solve a missing persons case that dates back to 1918. I've asked her to. I hope she does.(less)

I've always loved the sharp wit of Elizabeth reacting to Mr. Darcy's prejudice toward her family and to other people. Then they discover the good in each other and ultimately learn to love and respect each other. The conflict comes from what the title says, their own pride and prejudice, and not from outside forces trying to keep them apart, as with Romeo and Juliet, for instance. I believe this is what makes the story of Elizabeth Bennet and Fitzwilliam Darcy timeless.(less)

Andromeda's Mountain published 4/23/2014

Was I really talking about this book last year in June??? Well, it's published now. Not only is it published, people are buying it.

The lead character in this story is Andromeda (Andy) Rose Saville. It's her adventure, and I'd consider her a strong female lead.

If you visit the book's page here on Goodreads you may notice a book trailer video. It's fun. It's creepy.
