David Vanderpool, MD, CEO, Medical Director of LiveBeyond

Dr. Vanderpool is a trauma surgeon who specializes in tropical medicine in the developing world. He received his bachelor's degree from Abilene Christian University, graduated from medical school from Texas Tech University School of Medicine, and completed his surgical residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.

Dr. Vanderpool and his wife, Laurie, have been married since 1981 and have three children.

Borne out of the Vanderpool's family ministry, they established LiveBeyond, an international humanitarian aid nonprofit organization, in 2005. LiveBeyond was established as a 501(c)(3) organization to minister to the needs of victims of natural and man-made disasters ...more
