~ a writer who enjoys reading in her spare time.

In pursuing a love of storytelling, E. K. Cross earned a Master's in Writing and worked various part-time jobs; though she never stopped dreaming of achieving her lifelong goal of becoming a storyteller. Now she is a published author of a debut fantasy trilogy and a Pulp Idol finalist.

Though her work specialises in the realms of magical realism and fiction writing, she is keen to experiment with other genres, because every story is worth sharing.

When she is not devouring a new book, she can be found daydreaming of new stories to share, busing herself with a variety of hobbies, or at the computer exploring imaginary worlds with a feline familiar at her side.

“Ordinary people are very capable of making a difference in this world, and we are but the ordinary people are we not; but change – real, monumental, change – is made by the fiercest of persons, and only you can decide which person you wish to become.”

“The children were fond of stories, of hero soldiers and buccaneer bounties as muttered by the village elders; but they were especially fond of their instructor’s extravagant fables. Though some were not sure if the old man’s ramblings were ever completely true or not.”
E. K. Cross, The Apprentice

“Magic does not belong to Shénnóng. It is not unique to one god or the other. Those are human terms, human rules. All magic is the same. It is only the vessel that shapes it.”
Judy I. Lin, A Venom Dark and Sweet

“The bond of family is a kind of magic all its own.”
Judy I. Lin, A Venom Dark and Sweet

“To be human is to be vulnerable. To be human is to have more power than the gods will ever wield”
