Jason was born in Gibraltar in 1973 at the Royal Naval Hospital, but spent most of his childhood in the UK before his family moved back to Gibraltar.

He works in Gibraltar for the government as a Civil Servant (health promotion officer).

He has a Diploma of Higher Education in Health Promotion, a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Health Studies with first class honours, and an MA in Professional Writing (2012).

He loves natural history, but his love of fantastical literature has now taken over.

R.V. Cassill, in his classic book of instruction, Writing Fiction, says, "A writer’s apprenticeship isn’t over until his first million words have been written". So Jason is now well on his quest towards becoming a proficient writer.
