Hello, I believe to have many interesting ideas hibernating within which need to be unleashed to public at large, and what better medium than writing. I am a Chartered Accountant by qualification and a M&A consultant by profession, working in one of the top global organisations since last 14 years and currently residing in London. The trigger of being a writer came from my inclination to develop interesting stories, which instigated within me from a very young age. My first book, 'Abhimanyu - The Immortal Ruler' was an idea that came to me around 20 years ago, although it took very long for me to convert it into a novel, thanks to my otherwise busy schedule. One, we don't know what we want to write upon altogether, second, we started with something but struggling to progress or conclude it.
In case of former, it is important to be clear on the issue and topic we are trying to cover, or it may simply be a story which is not essentially an issue. As I mentioned previously, it's important to share thoughts and discuss with others on what we may write upon, it opens up more ideas.
For second scenario, it is important to sit back and spend some time thinking of a closure or structure of your novel or the book. Once mind has reached a clarity, only then to progress otherwise the continuity of the book will be impaired. When I started my book and I was thinking through the structure, I faced this issue and for me the solution was to combine another short story I had in mind to give me more content to play with. It helped.(less)
