Abhishek Joshi I will split writer's block into two categories. One, we don't know what we want to write upon altogether, second, we started with something but struggling to progress or conclude it.
In case of former, it is important to be clear on the issue and topic we are trying to cover, or it may simply be a story which is not essentially an issue. As I mentioned previously, it's important to share thoughts and discuss with others on what we may write upon, it opens up more ideas.
For second scenario, it is important to sit back and spend some time thinking of a closure or structure of your novel or the book. Once mind has reached a clarity, only then to progress otherwise the continuity of the book will be impaired. When I started my book and I was thinking through the structure, I faced this issue and for me the solution was to combine another short story I had in mind to give me more content to play with. It helped.
Abhishek Joshi For me, its something I enjoy.
Abhishek Joshi I am just one book old, so not really in a position to give advice, it's rather the other way round. But to new writers, I will recommend you bounce off ideas with a few before you dive into writing as it is better to get the thought and structure right before you approach a novel or a book.
Abhishek Joshi I have started a new novel which is a journey of a brat of a political family to what he eventually achieves with a backdrop of a love story.
Abhishek Joshi It was always an aspiration to write stories as I always thought they were interesting. I also got encouragement from family and friends when I shared my ideas with them.
Abhishek Joshi This was an idea came to me at a very young age. I converted it into a novel later and wrote this book.
