J.C. Byron is the author of the Viking historical crime series The Birgir Northman Mysteries.

With a degree in Archaeology and Writing, she is an avid student of folklore, mythology, crime, geography, exploration, and our collective human story of migration and expansion. Weaving in historical facts and discoveries she finds interesting, her writing focuses on kinship and survival in small communities.

Her interests include: metal (both musical and mineral); storytelling in its many shapes and forms (including RPGs, LARPing, and Historical Reenactment), and not being a very serious person in her everyday life.
