When I initially came up with the idea for Star Scouts, I had a plan for the overall story of Avani and Pam and the relationship between the Oxygen and Methane scouts. That overall story fit neatly into a trilogy with a beginning, middle, and end.

Also, I have lots of other ideas for books I want to write and was ready for a change. Though, if I ever come up with a really good story that fits into the Star Scout universe, I can always come back to it.
