"At just over 100 pages this can easily be read in one sitting but don't let the shortness of this story fool ya! I was surprised with how much is packed into this 🙌🏻 set in the 90s, we follow our main character Honey as she works shifts in her local " Read more of this review »

"sure, it is a little brief for my tastes, I am really loving Honey's story, then we shift to another POV with a great redneck noir pivotal scene. Then we are out!
This is very familiar territory, and so I am a little skeptical about my judgments here" Read more of this review »

This is a true work of literary art. Siôn Scott-Wilson has done a ton of incredibly meticulous research to tell this story of two good men who just happen to be in bad employment. All they want to do is get out of the body-snatching business and enjo ...more

Lucy Ellmann
“the fact that you’ll never know what sort of person you might have been if you’d read different stuff”
Lucy Ellmann, Ducks, Newburyport

Nathan Hill
“What’s true? What’s false? In case you haven’t noticed, the world has pretty much given up on the old Enlightenment idea of piecing together the truth based on observed data. Reality is too complicated and scary for that. Instead, it’s way easier to ignore all data that doesn’t fit your preconceptions and believe all data that does. I believe what I believe, and you believe what you believe, and we’ll agree to disagree. It’s liberal tolerance meets dark ages denialism. It’s very hip right now.”
Nathan Hill, The Nix

Elizabeth Strout
“All these lives," she said. "All the stories we never know." (125)”
Elizabeth Strout, Olive Kitteridge

Ling Ma
“The past is a black hole, cut into the present day like a wound, and if you come too close, you can get sucked in. You have to keep moving.”
Ling Ma, Severance
