Sixties High School "Intellects" Read A lot - Did you and what?
We read, in my experience, and read a whole lot. Not cozy or charming either. We read the" lists" and we were looking for a kind of sophistication that defined that generation. Someone was always reading something "important". Brave New World, Fahrenheit 451, Portnoy's Complaint, Everything You Wanted to Know About Sex; sci-fi (things that are now almost happening), politics - especially post-WW2.
