[close] Each member is allocated a month and chooses a book in advance so others can buy/ borrow a copy in reasonable time.

Book choice is completely free, but no repeats and ideally looking to balance out the year with classics, old favourites and new reads, so always worth looking what others have chosen.

The idea is to have a good source of recommended reading, a chance to meet socially with nice people and friendly / interesting chat. Strong opinions and passionate debate is welcome but rudeness will not be tolerated.

If you don’t read the book in full in time for the meeting, please come anyway: Life is busy, we all get that.
