This murder mystery/thriller is set in the small, modern West Virginia mountain town of Acker's Gap. This is Book #1 in a planned mystery series featuring Bell Elkins, a prosecuting attorney.

Scott Turow’s comment about "A Killing in the Hills" says it all, “A gripping, beautifully-crafted murder mystery that shows that small-town West Virginia is no longer Mayberry. Great reading!”

I couldn't put it down, as if I could save our heroines if I just read a bit longer. LOL
