If you read the last book, somewhere on the last pages it has been writtenDerek created a world in 2007, in 2015 he is going to do that all over again...just waiting for it.
And whether 'tis another book or a movie remains to be seen... though I suspect another book/series in the same world.

Yeah it is! Derek has finished writing the script and has signed a deal with a company, although hes not aloud to tell us which one just yet. should be coming out next year or the year after than! Hope that helped x (Watch the latest "The saturday night show" if you dont believe me :D)
I'd say let it take the time, as long as we get something cracking at the end of it. Something that can actually stand shoulder to shoulder to the Harry Potter movies and say, "Wands are sissies."

When I went to the tour thingo about a month ago, while up on stage he'd said that the script was brilliant, and that he'd hoped to be able to announce the studio that he is currently working with while on tour, but unfortunately they weren't quite at that stage yet. For anyone that's interested, he also said that the first half of the (possible) movie would be exactly like the book, and the second half would be a bit different, more like what he would change that part to if he was able.
So just remain optimistic, because according to his twitter, and the tour stop I went to, the movie has a script, and they are working on how they're going to do the screenplay.
Also, the new series coming out September 2015 has absolutely nothing to do with Skulduggery, Valkyrie, or any other character from this series. The series is about a 16-year-old girl running across a country (can't remember whether he specified which) to get away from demons. Derek had stated that he didn't want the Skulduggery fandom to feel pressured to read this series just because it might have a link to these books, and that it was too easy for him to write in this style, with these characters, etc. so he is creating a brand new trilogy. These books will also be for a slightly older audience, and will contain less comedy and more horror (which sounds super cool).

Yeah, it's going to be longer than 2 years for sure. The time it takes to work out how to do everything, and cast the characters, then shoot it will take some time. Although, it may depend on the studio he's working with.Dam it I'm going to be 18 when the first movie comes, with 8 other movies (if this one goes down well), I'm going to be so frickin old this sucks
Wait what HOLD IT.I just discovered this series (why didn't I discover it sooner?) and I'm still in the second book.
After much crying because Artemis Fowl doesn't look like it's getting a movie and Harry Potter still doesn't have that mmo, this is the best thing I've ever heard.

Also, Bellsye, don't be too worried about your age. I'm 22, so I'll be 24 when the first movie comes out.

Sorry, Skulduggery is awesome, but Harry Potter was my first love and I'm not letting go of it. It was, after all, what got me into reading and fandoms and honestly, taught me a lot when I was younger.
Sadly, it's true though. That mmo really doesn't look like it's happening in this lifetime.
